Natural Aqua Canarias S.L. is a company based in the Canary Islands that was set up in the year 2001 as a result of research carried out over the previous ten years by the multidisciplinary team of founding technicians working in the field of Atmospheric Water Harvesting (from Fog, Mist and Dew).
The company has since gained international acclaim, earning both the Gold Medal and the congratulations of the international jury at the 28th Swiss Exhibition of Innovations (Geneva) and the Swiss Society Special Award for Environmental Protection.
In April 2007, we were awarded the 'Good European Ideas, I+D+i (iR&D) 2007’ prize by the Tenerife Inter-Island Council, for our ANAGUA 2007 project.
In light of current global water shortage problems, Natural Aqua Canarias S.L. was created with the aim of working on environmental issues and of exploring ways of obtaining new water resources, such as the collection of water from fog, for example, using non environmentally-invasive techniques.
Bearing all this mind, we have designed a series of ‘AQUAIR OPTIMIZER’ atmospheric water collection devices which collect the water present in mist, fog and low-lying clouds. The devices also collect drizzle and rainfall, channelling the water to a cistern or tank where it is stored for use at a later date.
The ‘AQUAIR OPTIMIZER’ devices are environmentally-friendly, require no power supply, are as silent as trees and are capable of collecting up to 32 litres of water per square metre of mesh under optimum conditions. This means that a standard 10m2 device can collect up to 320 litres of water per day.
We hope you find both this brief introduction and the website itself useful, and that together they clear up any doubts or questions you may have. Thank you for your visit.
